Sara
Sara is one of those people who has a natural warmth. You can feel it radiate from her, and it's almost soothing in nature. She suggested we hit up a spot in the city I'd never been to before and it was a fantastic choice. Not a busy day or time but it still had good energy. We strolled around and talked about work and life and the various things that got us to where we are. The discussion turned to her vitiligo and EDS (Ehler's Danlos) and how that has affected day to day life, but it never felt like more than a matter-of-fact commentary about something like going to the store for milk. Clearly peace had been made. The patterns on Sara's skin were sweeping and delicate, like a watercolour painting. She affectionately refers to them as her 'treasure map' and once you see it, you can't un-see it; and that's just fine. Overall, her outlook on life, love, dogs and the world around her seems calm but with some intensity. Creativity is not something foreign to Sara and we took a walk through her schooling, work life and hobbies. It was impossible not to smile and it could not have been a more pleasant exchange.
